Trick-or-Eat:
Trick-or-Eat is a campaign that takes place annually on Halloween to collect non-perishable food items and donations for the Saskatoon Food Bank. In 2007, approximately 350 University and Kelsey students volunteered to Trick-or-Eat in Saskatoon neighbourhoods. They raised 4.1 tonnes of food as well as $500 in cash donations.
Adopt a Family:
Every year the Food Centre adopts a family through the “Brent & Penney’s Adopt a Family for Christmas” campaign. During the 2007 Christmas season our family consisted of a mother and six children. Through contributions and donations from USSU staff, we raised approximately $500 of food and toys for a mother and 5 children. |
