USSU Releases 2009 Executive Elections Results

(March 26, 2009) The University of Saskatchewan Students’ Union (USSU), under the supervision of the Chief Returning Officer Zena Charowsky, announced the results of its 2009 Executive elections today at Browsers (in the Memorial Union Building) on the University of Saskatchewan campus.

Because all Offices had just one candidate running for each position, the vote included a confidence voting system. Voters were asked to vote “yes” or “no” for each candidate, with the additional option of abstaining from voting for that position.

The unofficial results from the vote are:

USSU President: Warren Kirkland

USSU VP – Student Affairs: Ben Fawcett

USSU VP – Academic Affairs: Daniel McCullough

 
USSU VP – External Affairs: Chris Stoicheff

USSU VP – Operations and Finance: Scott Hitchings

The voting results will remain unofficial pending the complaints deadline on April 2, 2009.
