USSU Services: Designated Parking Program

If students do not receive a parking spot after applying to the online parking lottery, they may be eligible for the USSU’s Designated Parking program. The Designated Parking program was implemented to give parking access to those students who are deemed to have the greatest need. Out of town students are not eligible for the designated parking program. Out of town students will be offered Stadium Parkade or E lot. Space is limited and proof of residence will be required. The vehicle must be registered to the student or their parent. After October 31, 2009, McEown Park electrified stalls will also be available until April 30, 2010. Students who require special parking on account of daycare or other exceptional circumstances can apply for Designated Parking until Friday, September 3, 2010.

The Students’ Union tries to accommodate all requests for designated parking. However, there is no guarantee that you will be successful or receive your first choice.

Keep in mind that there are alternative transportation methods, such as UPASS (the universal bus pass). Active transportation (such as biking or walking) is also an excellent way to save money and help the environment.
